Panfish Lures

In this week's video I put my favorite early spring panfish baits up against each other to see which is the best. This test I compared Magic Bait's Crappie Bites, Gulp Alive Minnows, beemoths and marabou jigs! What should I test next?

I spent the last 3 days testing numerous panfish lures that are easily attained, and I have narrowed down 4 baits that I believe produce strikes consistently. Most of these lures come from Walmart, and they all caught many bluegill, spotted sunfish, and small bass. Fish don't behave the same in all bodies of water or at all times of the year, so there is no guarantee that you will have as much success with these baits as I have, but this is certainly a good place to start. I am not sponsored by any of these companies. I went down to the old Wally world and grabbed a bunch of baits that I thought might work.

If you're thinking about getting started using artificials for panfish, or you are simply wanting to try something new, these 4 lures are an excellent starting point:

Arkie Rigged Twirl Tails (white)
Strike King Bitsy Minnow (sexy shad)
Storm Hopper Popper (firetiger)

Bass Pro Shops:
Lunker City Fin-S Shad #6 Arkansas Shiner
Luck E Strike Crappie Magic Tri-Colored Round Jigheads (1/32 oz)
