Fishing for steelhead during a high water event in west Michigan. Above average rainfall during Ocotober and November this year has pulled fish into Lake Michigan tributaries up and down the coast. Thankfully we were able to capitalize on this opportunity.

We began the morning by bouncing spawn bags on bottom in the fast, turbulent water. Once the sun was high, we then rounded out the trip with some float fishing in deep runs and pools.

If you're fortunate enough to hook a fall chromer, know you're in for a nasty street fight. They're extremely energetic and fight like mad. Especially in raging current.
